I've been doing some minor things to my 240 while (trying to) finish my 740T's swap.
Yesterday, I replaced the torque rod bushings, and the difference in driving the car is unbelieveable. I used a manual arbor press to remove and install the bushings. The job took under an hour and a half, from the time I drove it into the work bay to the time I drove out.
The car no longer thunks like it has a bad u-joint when suddenly letting off/on the gas/clutch. The rear axle no longer pitches up and down, and the rear axle seems much more stable on the road. The car handles turns, accelration, and shifting much better than it did before.
Tonight, as I was leaving the workshop, the headlight switch completely gave up the ghost. The housing's two parts came apart. I took it indoors and used a couple clamps, a chisel, and a ball-peen hammer to make the 4 crimps tighter. Whoever put it together must not have eaten their wheaties the day they assembled that switch.
I mostly lost the detents in the switch, but it is no longer falling apart. For others' reference, it gave me a bit of an electric shock when the switch was in pieces.
