Fuel Filter 200 1987

Recently started dating a woman who has an '87 240 with 200k miles. When she first starts driving, there are times when it seems like it is not getting enough gas. then after it warms up, it is better. I am not much of a mechanic, so I suggested just letting it warm up first. If this does not work I think I'll check the fuel filter. Is the fuel filter easy to find? any other thoughts?
