donut spare rims good for anything? 200

I have a collection (maybe 6 or 8) of the old donut spare rims (no tire) from my 240s and 940's which were all replaced with full size spares over the years.
Some of the tires on my Volvos are good but going out of date. Instead of throwing them out can I put those out of date full size tires on the donut rims to hold up my parts car so it's not permanently sitting on jack stands? I keep the parts car running (mostly) and drive around the block once in a while which proves both difficult and noisy on bare rims.
