Hit a deer, weird problem for about 10 minutes 200 1992

Well here two months after I totaled my 93, lo and behold a deer runs out in front of me and I hit it. Smashed both headlights and the grill.

Anyway, the car would not start for about 10 minutes but then finally started. I drove it a little ways and it died. Then, after a few attempts, it started and I drove it home. It ran fine and I let it idle in the driveway for a few minutes. Still, I am worried.

What may have caused my car to not start? Is there anything I could check? Electrical?
