electric window lifts 200 1993

Please don't bother to refer me to the link on this website discussing the diagnoses of electric window issues I'm too challenged electrically to make any use of this information. Here's the situation, I installed ALL NEW WINDOW SWITCHES
ALL 4 DOOR, NOW BOTH REAR WINDOWS ACTUALLY WORK FROM THE DRIVERS DOOR, period.
So I remove drivers door panel looking for any obvious issues all appears normal,
I note there is a red and black wire going directly to motor from one switch. follow my simple minded thinking, OK a single red and black wire going to motor,
I skin back a little bit of wire to be able to put my test light on these two wires of course these is no power to these two wires so I decide to put power too
one wire at a time I'd connected a alegator clip to fuse on # 10 the slot the cover states powers up the windows this blows the fuse ditto on the black wire.
Now what? I'd really like to get at least one of the front windows to go up & down preferably the drivers door. How to achieve this overwhelming task yes I'm that stupid.
