I've e-mailed John Parker at V-Performance about this, but it bounced back because their server does not accept e-mails from my ISP (similar IP range as Asian spammer).
I've got a B20B with useless Strombergs. I've replaced the gaskets, but there are other issues with it. Here in New Zealand my options are limited. Anything imported is cheaper than buying local despite air freight cost. But Harley Davidson is big here so Mikuni carbs is a real option as parts are widely available.
I can replace the 2x Strombergs with 2x Mikunis, but I have no intention of increasing performance as the speed limit here is too low and the roads are too narrow with lots of slow bends. Just want a nice daily driver which is easy to maintain. I do have an FI inlet manifold in the shed, so how about a single Mikuni on the FI inlet manifold? Easier to tune than 2, and the longer inlet manifold might help with atomisation? Is the short carb inlet manifold the reason why Mikunis are a bit rough/weak while the engine is cold?
