Dead speedo causing idle problems? 900 1992

I am working on my sons car (turbo) to find the cause of it stalling. New in tank pump,filter,FPR,fuel relay, RSR, grounds,fuses 1 and 11, vac hoses, etc.. all fine. Clean throttle body and idle speed motor as well. I have gone through the list of usual suspects and wonder if his dead speedo is the culprit. Whadaya think?
