I replaced the tailgate harness yesterday (my rear wiper had stopped working). Took me just over an hour to do both sides, and wow, what a difference. Everything works like new again. I'd recommend anyone with a wagon to do this little job. It is not all that difficult (the passenger side is a little tight to get the new harness fished through), but you do not need to remove the tailgate. I used a 2X4 cut to length, and did one side at a time. You will need to remove the connector plastic covers to run the wires, but that is easy if you use a jewelers screwdriver to trip the lock lugs.
