My 1980 245DL finally hit 300k miles a couple weeks ago after 31 years on the road. It made it that far with a pristine dashboard, but just 2 weeks later a 3 inch long Y-shaped crack suddenly appeared, its first imperfection - must have happened last night. I guess that will make it a bit easier to take when the rust finally claims this one.
