Torque converter replacement....should I ? 200 1986

Someone here at work said that while I am replacing the engine on my '86 that while I have the engine and transmission apart, I should replace the torque converter only because mine has such high miles on it (452K miles). Should I be looking at doing this while it's torn apart? How much does this part cost and where would be the best place to find one that's of good quality and on the cheap $$$?

Thanks.
