As some might remember, I've had a perpetual oil leak/issue with my car. Sometimes it's bad, sometimes it doesn't show up. I've changed pretty much all of the typical issues (breather box, oil pan gasket, flame trap, real main, front seals, oil filler cap gasket and I'm sure others).
I recently put an amp in my wagon, so it was not being used since Saturday morning. It has been below freezing to just over 32 the last 2 days.
After I finished the amp, I checked the steering fluid and the oil. The steering fluid was a little low (I think I have a leak...go figure). The oil, though, had a weird light light brown...goop? (for lack of a better word) on the stick. the oil, though, looked fine. Each time I checked the oil (w/out running the engine) the stick had the weird goop, and not the oil.
I checked the radiator tank, and it didn't show any sheen.
There is a oily slick (or whatever) that is at the back of the engine, towards the back spark plug location.
Any ideas? I know someone said there might be a gas leak back there, explaining the weird goopy stuff...but how would it be in the tube of the dipstick but not the oil itself?
