Folks,

First let me thank everyone who responded to my overheating question (I replaced the water pump, radiator and flushed the system)

I recently replaced the cam and head. Since then the car will idle high when I start it in the morning. After some time, the idle will surge (high then low). After about 15 minutes (and restarting) the engine will purr like a kitten and run great for the rest of the day.

I have checked the intake gaskets for leaks - everything appears fine
I have checked the vacuum hoses - everything appears fine
I cleaned the throttle body - it appears to be fine

What could it be?
