Obscure low idle/hesitation problem, 1991 940GLE 16 Valve Wagon 900

Can anyone help?
Since I acquired the vehicle in 2007 I have replaced the ECU, Ignition Power Stage, Knock Sensor, Injectors, Idle Control Valve, Crankshaft Position Sensor and adjusted the TPS. It has been running well for about 2 years until recently when returning from a short trip, while opening the garage door, the idle speed dropped and then stalled. This has happened a few times with numerous oddball codes which I assume where false. In desperation, I went around the engine cleaning connectors on the sensors but not really finding anything wrong. this was about a month ago and it was running well until yesterday when we drove out the gate for an extended trip. A short distance up the road there was some hesitation like momentary fuel or ignition failure. I turned around and the idle slowed and the engine stalled. Started ok. I drove back home not willing to trust the car for the trip and took another vehicle. When I got back I looked for codes but both 2 & 6 were 111, clear. What with all I have replaced I'm at a loss what to look for!! Any ideas?
Thanks, Peter
