Significant decision point: re-seal, re-build, or replace? 200 1989

Hi, all. 1989 240 DL, 290K miles.

Significant oil leak, and the seals (cam, rear main, valve gaskets, etc.) could cost a bundle.

Question is, is it better to toss in a new engine rather than just do the seals or have a rebuild from the block?
