82 242 dl with sluggish acceleration, could use advice 200 1982

Just got my grandfaters refurbished to factory 82 242 dl NA the other day. replaced both fuel pumps and filter. motor runs awesome, except under loads. in town driving is great untill there is a hill or on ramp for the freeway. now low end power at all. im used to working on american built or hondas. new to Sweedish enginering. any clues as to where i should tackle first? everything was rebuilt and installed 7 years ago and has been sitting ever sence. wouldnt start so replaced the fuel pumps. now runs but with the lag. new filter, newer plugs and wires and cap. running fuel injector cleaner in it now. acceleration improves slightly when up to running temperature. thanks guys.
