I was trying to find an air box thermostat for my 95 960 and couldn't find a catalog listing ( and neither could anyone else, the dealer went so far as to tell me there wasn't one in there:-) and was told that one for an 850 would work, but upon dissasembling the box, it became obvious that the one I purchased was a no go.

the one removed from the car has threads on it unlike any other Volvo air box thermostat I've seen. The part does not show up in Vadis
the part numbers showing on the one removed from the car are 39 120 70 117 and 94G338-
Even FCP Groton came up empty when trying to find one for this application.

For now, I just have the old one removed and the flapper disabled toward fresh air, but call me silly, I like to have everything functioning as it was intended.
if anyone knows where to find one of those beasts it would be appreciated.
