I need a couple taillights for a 240 sedan. I hesitate to buy them because of what happened last August when I ordered a pair or Genuine Volvo replacements from TASCA and both lights arrived with defects. One side had a lens which drooped about 1/8" across its width and the other had a broken corner; the broken off piece was not in the packaging, so I have to assume the taillight was damaged at the factory.
Of course, I expected better from Volvo and I returned the taillights for replacement. Well, TASCA mistakenly sent me two for the same side and they BOTH suffered from Drooping Lens Syndrome. At that point, I gave up the hunt and returned the taillights for refund.
I can no longer put off buying new taillights. I firmly believe in buying Genuine Volvo parts, but I do not want the hassle or expense if Volvo is turning a blind eye to quality control.
Has anyone else bought Genuine Volvo taillight assemblies which arrived with manufacturing defects?
Thanks, one and all,
Rich
