I stepped out the back door of my daughter's apartment, accompanied by my favorite wife and my favorite daughters. The sun was shining, and snow and ice were only patchy here in Minneapolis.
My 3 women laughed, as we all spotted a nice Arkansas 1991 244 -- hood up -- outside the door, with young adults working on it... sun, beer, Saturday night, Haynes manual, tools... could it get any better? And the women knew my steps would veer toward the car and the people, when we were meant to head off on a walk.
Long story short: I am grateful to Brickboard and all who have contributed to it, many of whose names we don't see so often any more: Don Foster, Paul Seminara, Abe Crombie, Rod Aye Roll, Steve 700/900 FAQs... and my fingers would become spatulated if I used what memory was left to me, and perused my files to get many many more names.
In this case, the folks were just plain stuck on a door handle fix.
I sat, talked, looked, thought... Brickboard... and cleanflametrap.com (has illustrated pictures and explanatory text: near-Baltimore Art Benstein.)
Within minutes the folks had popped onto the Internet, and had even got the images on their little handheld device.
The latest step in LOTS of help given here. Way to go!
