Can anybody tell me what these ports are for? I replaced a used set that had both ports sealed off, with a rebuilt set with the rear carb not sealed off. There is vacuum on the open port (causing the idle to increase a few rpms), so I sealed it off some vacuum hose.

Just wondering if either one can provide vacuum to a vacuum advance distributor?
