I posted earlier about my Regina fuel pump, as I thought it was dead or dying and the solution was obvious, but now it appears to be working fine. However, being a suspicious kind of guy, I figure this thing will stick it to me the minute I venture more than 5 miles from home. So, here's where I'm at:
- fuel injection relay seems fine, took case off, solder joints perfect, contacts clean, no obvious issues. Ran an old one for a bit, also fine, either relay clicks each time I turn the key. Also, they send 12V to the pump.
- measured fuel pump pressure, got 35 psi, should be 43.5 per Volvo book, also
- measured pump resistance should be 1 - 2 ohms, got 3 ohms.
Before I drop another 100 and change on this machine, thought I'd ask if this data suggests the pump is calling it a day. Plan to check FPR this weekend if my vacuum gizmo works. Thanks.
