Recommendations for upper strut mounts if OEM is unavailable 200

Hi All,

Both boys brought their 240s home last weekend when they came for Easter. In giving the cars a quick check, I saw that the upper strut mounts on both cars are badly cracked (wife said they were so bad even Stevie Wonder could see the problem).

I've always preferred to use Volvo (OEM) strut mounts, but the last time I ordered a set from the dealer, they were ScanTech parts in sealed Volvo bags. Does anyone know if Volvo has gone back to sourcing the OEM strut mounts? If not, who makes good ones?

I think FCP Groton is now carrying the mounts by Meyle/Meile, but I have no experience with theirs. IPD used to carry SKF (which were good), but looks like those are gone. Moog is available "on line," but I'm not familiar with theirs either. I'm not even considering MTC or ScanTech based on prior experiences with their "stuff."

Any insights, recommendations, or BTDTs are greatly appreciated!

Steve A-
