I bought an ELM327 diagnostic tool online to use with my Android phone and Torque, an OBDII app. It works well but doesn't see the CEL.

To prove that I'm not hallucinating when my car was at the shop this week to replace the PNP, they also tried to clear the CEL but could not read it - on two different devices. What's up with that?
