Front End Clunk/Pop on '92 740 700 1992

The front end of my '92 745 would clunk/pop when turning at a slow speed such as pulling in and out of parking spots. I had the struts replaced and I replaced all the front end bushings, ball joints, and outer tie rods. It still clunks/pops - only more now! Any ideas on what to check? Also, what's the best way to get some leverage to torque front end parts when it's best done with the suspension 'feeling' the weight of the car. Is there a spot I can put a jack stand near the strut/ball joint so the front tire can be off and the suspension still bear the weight of the car?
