Iv used brick board alot over the past few year for all the issues faced with my volvo's. 740gle and now 940se. The FAQ's on this site have been exelent so far and have helped me with everything, this is why it's the first time iv signed up to post a question.
Like many issues one was my speedo, which i repaired as to the FAQ repair guide.
To my greate suprise it worked, but then i noticed it stoped at 80kmh. between 80 and 130kmh it sticks to 80kmh. which was kind of funny looking at many confused passengers watching the speedo and not quite sure what to make of it. as we were passing other cars quite readily.
Also once you increase speed passed well i would around 130kmh and above the speedo needle starts moving backward towards 0kmh as speed increases?
I did notice that one of the Ic chips on the board had quite corroded legs at the time of teh repair. I would like to know if anybody else has experienced this and maybe knows of the cause. would help to know what the issue might incase i need to order parts before i pull the unit out.
