Rough Start and Stalling in Rainy or Damp Weather 200 1978

I have an wonderful 1978 245DL. its a great car and drives hundreds of miles a week. However, when it is raining or rained in the last few hours or if its just damp or foggy the car doesn't like to start. After a few attempts it will start but will stall out. It takes a good 5 miles of driving before it will run normal. Any tips or hints appreciated. Car is bone stock.
