I have a 93 940 the vin comes back as a 940S. I got the car in lubbock Texas, and some things about the car are strange. The car has a sticker in the rh rear door glass that it is a "Special delivery Volvo diplomat and tourist sales"
The thing that I question is the fog lights, the dash switch is not one two sided switch but two different switches. The lights had been mounter IN the lower part of the front bumper. The wireing is factroy or dealer, with plugs that go into the harniss and have volvo markings on the wires. The dash has indicators for the front and rear fog lamps that work with the switches.
When I got the car is had been hit in the front and the bumper cover was junk, and the lights had been smashed, Some mounting studs around the holse and the hanging wires was the only thing left.
I have been to the dealer here in Michian and the parts book shows nothing but fogs on the inside of the headlamps (there is no wireing up in the core support for the fogs, just the wire at the bumper)
The rear of the car has the trunk mount spoiler and the red trim panel between the taillamps. There is a roll up sun shield on the rear parcel shelf that hooks to the roof or the car.
Can anyone give me any info about BUMPER mounted fog lamps. Is the spoiler, trim pnl, and sun shade factroy or dealer options? Is this Special Delivery car something that came from europe and had this stuff installed over there?
any info would be cool
Thanks
