Is ignition convertion to electronic possible on B-21A 1982 ? 200 1982

I need to replace ignition breaker points every 25000 km on my 1982 Volvo with B21A engine and SU carburator. I figure I could possibly modify the actual distributor to fit the pickup coil and electronic ignition(Bosch) of a 1983 B23 GLT which I keep on a shelf.

Has anyone tried such a system ?

I feel the actual distributor shaft is a little loose and I would certainly be happy to get rid of the tedious breaker points replacement.
