Slow start when cold 200

After my '87 has been sitting for a few hours, it takes a lot of cranking to get the engine to fire. If I turn the key to start for a second, then turn it off, then crank, it fires right up, leading me to believe that the pressure in the fuel system is low after the car sits for a while. I know there is a valve somewhere that keeps the pressure in the fuel system. Where is it and how hard is it to change out? Thanks.
