900/V90 Central Locking Problem

I'm a 240 guy so please bear with me- not used to these types of electrical gremlins.

I just picked up a nice 1997 V90 for the wife. The car is in great shape and well-maintained. The only "issue" thusfar is related to the central locking system, in that the passenger door on the driver's side will not unlock reliably. It is even difficult to reliably unlock the door from the inside.

Could this be an issue related to the central locking relay(s), or is it more likely to be associated with the locking mechanism in the door? Also, does the 960/V90 have one lock relay or two? Does anyone know how in the heck these things work? Opinions wanted.

Thanks in advance as always!

-Andy R.
