I picked the hottest day of the year so far to change out the front calipers on my '87. I carefully checked to make sure the "dimples" were all facing in the right direction, and that the top bleeder valve was in the correct position. I followed the advice about blocking the brake pedal down to avoid losing brake fluid. I did lose some, so I used one of those "one guy" vacuum bleeding tools to try to bleed just the fronts. After two hours of pumping and trying to get the air out of the system, I gave up. The pedal is slightly soft, so I'm wondering if I haven't bled them enough, or I should do the whole system, back and front. I just hope that there isn't a problem with the calipers..... any advice?
