Round body heresy 444-544 1958

I know this will rattle some...but has anybody ever turned a 444 or 544 body into a tear drop trailer? I know, I know, who would dare contemplate it!

I have 58 444 parts car with the front striped down to the frame: no sheet metal, no steering components no front axle assembly. Just the body from the firewall back to the back bumper sitting on the rear axle.

I wonder if it will end up being too heavy to tow nicely? It would be too high sitting on the current rear coils, and the gears would be too low, as well. Perhaps a trailer drop axle could help that sort of thing, and then electric brakes could be added, as well.

My question is, has anybody out there done it and been happy with the result? I'd like to hear about it.

Cheers...
Linc
