Have finally sorted a long going issue(since I bought the car 3 years ago)
would some times be a long crank to start cold, and or stumble slightly when driving away cold.
this recently got much worse, had to crank alot and press gas pedal to get it to start.
the car has the regina ecm/ignition control system(single fuel pump in tank)
I had been reading about fuel pump failures in this system design,my car has 260,000 km
my background with domestic cars has the pumps failing complete, car stops.
I knew there was no residual fuel pressure after car had been running, and with no apparent "check valve"
like the bosch cars I decided to replace the in tank pump(which I found has an internal check valve0
FIXED!
car always starts right away and has no tip in stumble when cold
guess my fuel pump has been gradually failing for a long time
hope this might help some one else
