I'm stumped - blower motor 900

Just installed replacement blower motor for 1994 945. Siemens brand, tested fine at battery, power lines to blower test good with 13.8 volts. Connection that came with the unit was incorrect butt, I joined together with butt joints, 13.8 volts at butt joint . Blower refuses to spin when connected to wiring. I'm stumped???
Any suggestions to fix wife's A?C heater fan are welcomed.
