Well, I may have created more problems for myself (three Volvos with electrical problems)chasing a no spark/start condition on my 1991 240. I pulled the coil wire from the distributor and grounded it to the block to check for spark. I also didn't disable the ignition while repeatedly cranking the engine over checking for spark from the plugs, and coil, and doing the bently fuel pump relay test. It's possible the plug wasn't always touching the block everytime I checked for spark.
Pleas tell me that I didn't fry anything? I didn't see the warnings until it was after the fact when I was reading through Bently. Do I get the idiot of the week award? If I did do damage, what will I need to replace besides the ICU? Coil, powerstage?
I guess my question is, do I waste anymore time trying to get spark, or did I fry my chit and anymore time would be wasted? Man, I am on a roll with car problems, and I hope I didn't just add to them......
