Rear main seal, should I start over? 200 1987

This is a new seal that I am attempting to install. I realized (to great frustration) that I had dented it in some places while I was tapping it in as I worked around the seal. I guess I should have used something with a more uniform impact zone.

Should I get a new seal and start over? My hunch is that is probably bad to have these indentations. Seals always tend to frustrate me!
