Cruisecontrol Vacuum Hose 700 1987

Hi,
the cruise control on my 1987 740 GLE wagon (Manual transmission, no turbo)stopped working.
Looking at the valve which has the throttle cable attached it has a 13" vacuum hose just hanging lose.
The one end of this vacuum hose is all cracked. So it came of a connection somewhere near the intake manifold or the firewall. But I have looked for this connection every where and can not find it.
Anyone have any idea where this connection should be? Or maybe have a schematic which shows the connections?
