My volvo is doing something it has never done. I over 400,000 on this car. Problem: Temp. Gauge is going beyond half way almost to red zone. This happens after I have driven it for a while and I slow down then to exit expressway or at a light. It then goes back down after I start moving again. My A/C is not hooked up as that gave out several years ago, I do not have a belt going to a/c compressor motor. I am somewhat handy with the car maintenance am wondering if this could be a relay, short etc. Where should I start and what should I look for. Will be driving it home this afternoon and will be working on it tonight. It is hot here ,as it across the country so I may be overacting.
