A/C clutch plate puller 900

I am attempting to utilize a GM type clutch plate puller to swap out bad A/C clutch on my 95 940 base. After pulling the allen bolt and washer, I noticed there are no treads on the clutch plate to accept the puller.What do I need to utilize to get this off properly? Have used the GM type before with my 92 940 years ago. Remember it being a bit of a chore. Thanks for your help.
