Hello.
It's been a while since i've posted, but I look forward to getting back on the "Board".
I've recently retired, and I'm getting ready to take on a project.
I've acquired a 76 Model 242 with 4 speed and OD.
The B21F engine is shot, melted piston, but the body, interior, transmission, suspension and drive train are in excellent condition.
I've got a 81 Model 240 that my son wrecked about 5 years ago.
The B21F engine was running good at the time, and I'm going to swap it into the 76 body.
I'll probably install new rings and crankshaft bearings when I have it out of the car.
I plan on new paint, and on dressing it up real pretty, as this will probably be my last ride unless I wreck it or something.
Anyway, does anyone have any advice for the swap between the 76 Model B21 and the 81 Model B21? Any unforseen problems?
I'm planning on using the 76 model fuel injection and ignition system on the 81 Model B21F engine.
Thanks in advance for any response.
steve
