Dash Lights 900 1997

I have a 1997 Volvo 960 and the instrument lights including the lights for the air conditioning controls, etc,. come on when the car is first started, but go out soon thereafter.


My thought is that there must be a relay that controls the lights..

Am I on the right track, and if so where is the relay and if I am not on the right track-any suggestions.
