Help! The old turbo wagon died, I coasted into a parking lot, pulled down the valance and swapped out the fuel pump relay (with the spare in the glovebox) and resumed my trip to the store. Now I don't have a spare - it got me thinking, their HAS to be a better system. I have replaced the fp relay 5 times now, along with several pumps, I'm fedup! After the last one failed, I fixed the melted wire connection (as per Art B.suggestion). That was last year and probably less than 5K miles ago. Could anyone supply a nice schematic on adding a relay to lessen the load on the main one, while preserving the safety features?
Many thanks brickboard!
