Trying to diagnose a very tight fitting intake valve.
- Head has be reconditioned with new seats and bronze guides
- Exhaust valves are NEW
- Intake valves are used, but look to be in good shape.
One intake valve is a very tight fit in the guide. Tight enough that it stops about halfway through. The same valve fits fine in the other intake guides, so I wouldn't suspect a bent stem. ALL of the intake valves have the same problem in that particular guide, but fit fine in the the remaining guides. An exhaust valve also fits nicely, but I'm unsure if it is a slightly different diameter.
Is it common to have a mismatch in ID in guides once installed?
