won't start 200 1990

Hi, I bought a Volvo 240 not running. I replaced the battery, the fuel pump relay, the fuel pressure regulator, and the O2 sensor. Then it ran! But only as long as I had the air mass meter unplugged and the gas pedal at full throttle. So I bought a used air mass meter and installed it. Now the car won't start... when I turn the key in the ignition there's no sound at all except a pathetic little sigh. It won't run if I unplug the AMM either. Help!
