93 940 wagon speedometer sender or diff filler plug removal 900

Trying to get filler plug out- forget about it. frozen bad and stripping the head of the plug terribly trying to loosen it. I tried an easy out for bolt removal, a pipe wrench- nothing seems to work. So, I thought I could remove the speedo sender and fill it with lube that way. That will turn but not come out after taking out the set screw. Anybody, any input would be much appreciated.
Thank you. Also, why no drain plug on this diff? like my 240's.
