I have a 740 turbo 91. My wife said the the Volvo stalled a few times for no reason. One day it stalled and it would not start again. My son was with her and said some time spark and no spark, more of no spark at the coil. So when I arrived the Volvo started and ran for about one minute and it died. Start no more, towed it home. Same thing happen years ago and it was the "crankcase position sensor" (CPS). So I bought a CPS and no luck. So I tried them both on a friends Volvo and they both worked on his Volvo. So the CPS is not the problem. There is power to the coil and no spark. I have a spare coil and that didn't work also. So what else would prevent the coil from sparking other than CPS, is there another position sensor some where else? Is there a relay or something. Remember there is no spark coming out of the coil.
