horn help on 92-240. 200 1992

PO bumped the front end of the car just enough to engage the airbag. No real damage to the car. For some strange reason, they didn't want to replace the airbag, so they just put on an older steering wheel (airbag less) and just drove around without the horn.

Since I bought the car for my daughter - first thing I did was to install new steering wheel with airbag. Hooked her up and no lights on the dash so I guess everything is ok. (don't know of anyway to test without setting it off!!!).

So I guess everything is ok. Except the horn.

Used Jummpers from battery to confirm horn actually works (since this is a known issue as well).

On the back of the housing for the contact unit - there is a male spade (besides the connector for the orange airbag control wires). I currently have a black wire connected (assuming ground) - but there is also a white wire with a red stripe which has a female spade connector laying around unused.

Bentley is intentionally VAGUE about the airbag system - so should I have connected the White/red wire instead of the black one???

Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks
Charles
