Suspicious compression results and low oil pressure 200 1980

I did a compression test last night on my newly acquired 1980 242 DL. Previous owner suspected nearly 250K on the engine. Results on a warm engine were 188,190,190,185 psi. I performed the test with a known quantity tester; one that has given very accurate results in the past. Green book on this year suggests compression between 155 and 126 psi is normal. Can anyone comment as to why my compression results were so high?

On a related note, the low oil pressure light comes on below 1300 RPM when fully warm. If I can trust my compression results, does that nearly 100% point to oil pump o-ring issues causing the low pressure?

Thanks for the feedback.

Jason
