Our V90 has not had a functioning blower motor for a couple of years. We finally got it replaced yesterday, and I recharged the A/C because the compressor was cycling every 15 seconds or so. The guy at the parts store looked up the system capacity for me -- 32 oz. -- so I bought an 18 oz. can, thinking it might be enough but if it wasn't, I'd buy more. Well, the system took most of the 18 oz. can but not all of it. There's maybe 2 oz. left inside it.
The A/C blows cool air now, which is a big relief in this heat, but not cold the way it used to be. I even set the Recirculate button to "on" because I know that the system will blow cooler air when it's recirculating. Still, even after taking the car for a 15 minute drive, the air coming directly out of the vents is just cool.
So, I'm thinking that there might be a component of the system that isn't operating the way it should. The clutch is definitely working, and I hope the compressor is working normally. What about the evaporator or perhaps the evap valve? Or something else I might not be thinking of?
TIA for any advice you can provide.
