funky locking 200

central locking locks, but wont unlock.

was doing other repairs the other day, and I had the battery disconnected.

when I reconnected the battery, the lock and unlock both worked.

pleased that I fixed something I wasn't even working on, I closed the drivers door. No joy, just lock works again.

with the drivers door open disconnecting the battery fixes the unlock issue, but only till the door is closed.

also, the lock is going back and forth between pulling up, pushing down an inch and a half or so to only pulling slightly up down as if captured by spring tension.

any ideas?
