Being a first time owner of a 940 wagon, I'm not familiar with just how this sunroof is suppose to work. When I first attempted to open it, the motor labored, opening only the vent. On the third attempt to use it, I believe the motor burned out.
Next, by removing the cover over the electric motor and using a large screw driver, I was able to open the sunroof until it stopped at the same point where the motor met resistance and quit. In this position it was difficult to observe just how the sunroof internals worked.
I can't believe that Volvo would design a sunroof in such a way so just the vent would open. Shouldn't the whole sunroof slide back as well.
If that's the case, is there an adjustment or repair for it?
I've also been trying to track down a diagram for it . Does anyone have a source?
